Two days ago, my Class and I were able to get some ripper rugby practice, which we’ll be doing for the rest of the term. First of all, my class walked up onto our school field, we were then introduced to Coach Matt, who coaches at Varcity . As we got into our activities, some late students arrived, all of which were slowly getting ready while we were playing.
Our first activity was ball tag, which had the taggers running around with a ball and not able to throw it, there were 3 taggers in 3 groups each group had gotten a turn. When you got tagged you would have to do a star jump, luckily I only got tagged 3 times in the whole thing. There were 9 people who got to play as taggers, I wasn’t one of them sadly.
Our next activity was passing, which was simple enough as the cones were a bit too close to each other. There were 4 cones with uneven numbers of students behind 2 of the cones and even numbers behind the other 2, there also was another 4 cones on the other end. We ran up and down passing to each other until we switched to passing down the line twice while still running after moving the cones further back.
Our third activity was Ripper Rugby Ball Rush..... or RRBR for short. The objective of the was to get past the taggers without getting your tags ripped off. It went on for 10 minutes, I was one of the last four that were still not tagged. I was exhausted from running back and forth for 10 minutes, they called ball rush and I...... got tagged.
The End XD
