Netball Training

Today, The whole of room 7 got to participate in Netball Training. We first walked onto the courts and greeted the coach, we then got into pairs to simulate Attacking and Defending. After that warm-up we got into groups of four, we had to intercept the ball between a pair that was passing. This continued on for the next 10 minute.

After that, we were pulled into a bigger group of six and played 4 corners - if you don't know what it is, it's four people in four corners and one receiving a ball from each, one defending the ball from getting to the one receiving and one calling the numbers of the four -. It went on for a while and then finally the last activity.

The final activity was a shooting game, in preparation the class got split into two big groups.  The coach called number and the corresponding number would run in from either of the two groups and grab one of the balls in the middle and then pass it around the team until it reached the last person, who passes it back to the shooter, who has now gotten inside the semi circle and ready to shoot.

The activity was pretty fun, even though my group had lost. In the end it was 18 - 22 (I forgot the actual score but this is pretty close) our score was pretty good for us as we all hadn't played netball much.

Plant Observation

Hypothesis:

Method: I predict that by taking out the soil will cause the plant to lose life overnight

The plant I will be observing is: Mint Plant

Observation day 1: The Mint Plant has lost its strength and is now flopping over

Observation day 3: The leaves and stem have turned brown

Observation day 7:It is now completely dead with it’s leaves and stem brown.

Explanation: Why did this happen to my plant?

It didn’t have any nutrients or water. The sun also had its negative effect by drying up the plant faster than normal.

Yesterday we were left with 6 chocolate bars split between 13 children. How much chocolate would each child now receive? 6/13

Miss stone doesn’t feel like chocolate today. How much chocolate would each child receive if their are seven chocolate bars.

There were supposed to be 14 children in our group, how much chocolate would each child receive if there were 7 chocolate bars. 7/14 equivalent to 1/2
